Based on those with losses in Xiamen, here are the athletes who'll have their sight set on vital comebacks to make bold statements at Suzhou Diamond League.

The Suzhou Diamond League is set to be a second version of activities that took place in Xiamen a week ago, as Sha'Carri Richardson, Tobi Amusan, and most athletes will be making a return in their various events.

While some of these athletes will be gunning to extend their Diamond League winning streak and points, others will aim for significant comebacks, thus making it a highly anticipated meet to expect on Saturday, 20th.

Based on those with losses in Xiamen, here are the athletes who'll have their sight set on vital comebacks to make bold statements against their rivals.

Fred Kerley in the men's 100m event

Former world 100m champion Fred Kerley's goal will be to overcome the fast start of his countryman Christian Coleman, who claimed the needed victory against him in Xiamen, clocking 10.13s.

Kerley hasn't been on top of pundits' favourite list for a 100m win in the past year, so Suzhou will be the perfect opportunity to start.

With an interesting field set up that includes world 60m finalist and African Games champion Emmanuel Eseme, South Africa's legendary sprinter Akani Simbine, and Jamaican speed sensations Ackeem Blake and Rohan Watson, the race is primed to be faster.

Coleman and Kerley will have their focus on each other, but anyone listed above can be victorious at the finish line.

Tobi Amusan in the women's 100m Hurdles

The women's 100mH lived up to expectations in Xiamen, so it won't be anything short of the same exceptional performances this time.

Olympic champion Jasmine Camacho-Quinn went home with the win in 12.45s to officially kick start her Olympic year, as World 60m Record holder Devynne Charlton settled for the second position.

Meanwhile, the WR holder in the event Tobi Amusan finished fifth, but she'll be gunning to turn things around and restamp her name as the fastest in the field.

If Amusan gets a comeback victory against her rivals, she will be back in the conversation as the favourite for the Olympic title in Paris.

Sha'Carri Richardson in the women's 200m event

After losing to 19-year-old Australian speed sensation Torrie Lewis in Xiamen, Richardson will be aiming for not just the maximum points but a famous fast time to prove her doubters wrong.

The world's fastest woman will race to defeat a world-class field of fellow compatriots Clark and Anavia Battle, teammate Twanisha Terry, Great Britain's Daryll Neita, Bahamian Anthonique Strachan, Swiss star Mujinga Kambudji, and pretty-unknown Caisja Chandler, who can also pull an upset like Lewis did.

Hansle Parchment in the men's 100m Hurdles

Jamaica's Olympic champion Hansle Parchment finished a disappointing sixth in Xiamen as the US duo of Daniel Roberts and Cordell Tinch claimed the top two positions.

The trio are listed side by side again, and with more at stake for Parchment, his goal will be to avoid a loss twice to the Americans with a needed comeback victory.
