For the third consecutive year, Chicago Sky star Angel Reese has been named the BET Awards Sportswoman of the Year, defeating top stars such as newly crowned Roland Garros champion Coco Gauff, track star Sha'Carri Richardson, and Olympic champion Simone Biles.
The nominee list also includes Basketball stars Juju Watkins, A'Ja Wilson, and Flaujae Johnson, Clarissa Shields, and Dawn Staley.

Richardson had an impressive 2024 season, highlighted by winning the Olympic 100m silver medal and anchoring the USA's women's 4x100m relay team to gold in Paris. She ended the year with the world's fastest time of 10.71 seconds.
