Best in supporting each other: Lovebirds Noah Lyles and Junelle Bromfield clap back at online bully for degrading comment
Paris Olympian Junelle Bromfield got enough of an online bully for calling her out as a cheerleader to Noah Lyles in the newly released Sprint 2 docuseries on Netflix.
Bromfield was one of the track stars featured in the series, with her fiance Lyles as the headliner alongside other Olympic champions such as Julien Alfred, Gabby Thomas, and Letsile Tebogo.
Despite not winning a medal in Paris, the Jamaican 400m runner made a number of appearances in the series, which didn't sit well with a track fan, and had to air her frustration online.
"Junelle's entire role in the #Sprintnetflix series is to prop Noah up and act like his cheerleader. Nothing about her talent or her quest to the Olympic faces," wrote @AiokiNagato on X.
Commenting under the post, Bromfield wrote: "And she is getting paid to do it. Must be exhausting," to which Lyles responded with "Easy Money."
Lyles and Bromfield have come a long way with publicly supporting each other despite the cyberbullying they both face. Notwithstanding, their love story has gotten stronger, and they are looking forward to building a family following their recent groundbreaking engagement.
