Morocco sealed their spot in the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) semi-finals after goals from Brahim Díaz and Ismael Saibari secured a convincing 2-0 victory over five-time winners Cameroon in Rabat

The highly anticipated clash came after Senegal had secured a 1-0 win in Friday's other quarter-final matchup.

The Atlas Lions dominated the opening exchanges, and their pressure told in the 26th minute when Brahim Diaz turned home an Ayoub El Kaabi header for his fifth goal of the tournament.

While Cameroon grew into the game during the second half, they struggled to find a clinical edge, with substitute Georges-Kevin Nkoudou missing their best opportunity from close range.

Morocco eventually put the result beyond doubt in the 74th minute. Ismael Saibari showcased superb composure to control an Abde Ezzalzouli cross before rifling a left-footed finish into the far corner.

The win sets up a mouthwatering semifinal clash on Wednesday, January 14, where the hosts will face the winner of tomorrow's heavyweight battle between Nigeria and Algeria.
