Nigerian striker Edna Imade was in action as Real Sociedad Femenino suffered a loss at home to CD Tenerife in a Liga F match held at the Ciudad Deportiva de Zubieta.
CD Tenerife took an early lead in the 12th minute as Sakin Ouzraoui Diki put the visitors ahead, capitalizing on an assist from Carlota Suarez.
The lead was doubled in the 22nd minute when Natalia Ramos found the net from the penalty spot.
Despite the early setback, Imade gave the Real Sociedad, gave the home crowd a glimmer of hope.
In the 40th minute, she scored a well-taken goal getting past the Tenerife defense.
Real Sociedad were down at the break and were unable to overturn the deficit in the second half as CD Tenerife’s defense held firm, securing the 1-2 victory and claiming three valuable points
Edna Imade returns to Spain
Imade had an outstanding season with Granada last season, finishing as the second-top scorer in Spain.
Her accomplishments earned her a high-profile move to German side Bayern Munich.
However, Bayern Munich opted to loan her back to Spain with Real Sociedad for the 2025-26 season to continue her development in Liga F.
Imade with her latest goal continues to make a case to be included in the Super Falcons squad for the upcoming WAFCON qualifier against Benin Republic.
