‘You’re not alone’ - Super Falcons star offers prayers of recovery to Awoniyi after being put to coma
The Nigerian international sustained an injury after crashing into the post in Nottingham Forest's 2-2 draw against Leicester City at the weekend.
Following a severe abdominal injury, the striker was compelled to undergo surgical intervention to address the extensive internal damage sustained.
To facilitate optimal healing and recovery, the medical team decided to place him in a medically induced coma.
Ajibade sends prayers to Awoniyi
Ajibade has wished Awoniyi a speedy recovery and has urged Nigerians to say a word of prayer for the Super Eagles star.
She wrote on her official X account, “Our hearts are heavy as we hold Taiwo Awoniyi in our prayers. Just days ago, he shared his light and strength with us on the Rash 4 Christ podcast.
