Watch as Lakers star Luka Dončić "Posterizes" Dad at EuroBasket training

Even though the match between Slovenia and Italy will be an elimination game, the "Dragons" appear quite relaxed and unburdened.

Fans have grown accustomed to Los Angeles Lakers Luka Doncic and his training antics, like making baskets with an impossibly high arc, from full court, or even from the first row of the stands.

But this is something we haven't seen yet: during practice before the decisive game against the Italians, Luka "posterized" his own father, Saša Dončić.

EuroBasket 2025 commenced on August 27th and runs until September 14th, hosted across four nations: Finland, Poland, Latvia, and Cyprus. Twenty-four national teams are participating, divided into four groups.

The knockout stage of the European Basketball Championship will be played in Riga and Slovenia are already in the round of 16.

Luka was impressive, but Slovenia had a slow start to the tournament, losing to Poland in their opener and then against France in their second group game.

They bounced back with a victory against Belgium, then defeated Iceland and Israel to book a place in the round of 16.

The round of 16 clash between Slovenia and Italy is scheduled for Sunday, September 7th, tipping off at 5:30 PM.

The winner of that clash will face the victor of the Germany vs. Portugal encounter.
