The Nigerian speedster has been a consistent performer this season, competing at various meets in Europe and dropping 10.2s range in all his races.
With his new 10.04s, Ogunlewe showed he is in fantastic shape this year and has what it takes to hit the World Championships qualifying standard of 10.00s.
He is also back as one of the contenders for the Nigerian title this year and making the team to Budapest.
Nigeria is currently second behind the USA as the nationality with the highest number of fastest sprinters in the world this year. Here's the list of Nigeria's top sprinters:
- 9.90s - Godson Oghenebrume
- 9.92s - Udodi Onwuzurike
- 9.96s - Favour Ashe
- 10.02s - Usheoritse Itsekiri
- 10.04s - Seye Ogunlewe
- 10.05s - Alaba Akintola(SB)
It only means the 4x100m relay team will be a force to reckon with at the World Championships in Budapest.
