Victor Osimhen: PSG ignore Napoli star transfer despite injury to key player

Osimhen has been in the news since the start of the transfer window after insisting he wants to leave Napoli.

The forward missed Napoli's first official match of the season after the club director confirmed the Nigerian’s transfer request.

The Napoli star is still waiting to make a transfer move away from the Italian club this season, with several clubs still monitoring his situation.

Earlier in the transfer season, PSG had personal terms agreed with the 25-year-old Osimhen and had been in discussion with Antonio Conte's team over a potential move for the forward.

However, they were unable to satisfy his €130 million release clause, and Napoli would not negotiate a price lower than what they are demanding.

The recent injury of Gonçalo Ramos had given Osimhens hope of getting his dream move to PSG, but recent reports suggest that the French giants are not pursuing a move for him.

Portuguese forward Gonçalo Ramos hurt his ankle during PSG's Ligue 1 match against Le Havre, according to AP News. 

The 23-year-old will need surgery in the next few days and won't be able to play for Le Parisien for at least three months, which might restart the Osimhen negotiations.

Despite Ramos' setback with his injury, Luis Enriquie's team has reportedly chosen not to pursue a trade for Osimhen, according to the French source L'Equipe.

Simon Phillips reported on X, “PSG have decided NOT to pursue a deal for Victor Osimhen despite Goncalo Ramos’ injury blow.”

This means Osimhen will not make his dream move to PSG, with the French team not looking to sign the striker.
