Transfers rumours: Tottenham preying on Nigeria’s tormentor

English Premier League giants Tottenham Hotspurs and Nottingham Forest are said to be paying a keen interest in Gambia’s sensation Adama Bojang.

The youngster has been explosive at the ongoing U-20 Africa Cup of Nations in Egypt and is firmly in the race for the golden boot.

UK’s Daily Mail claims that both Spurs and Nottingham Forest have made inquiries about the youngster as Ajax and Marseille observe from a distance.

Adama was relatively silent in the group stages but exploded in their quarterfinal match against South Sudan where he netted a hattrick.

“As a young lad coming to the tournament to show my talent and scoring a hat-trick for my country is amazing and a privilege,” Adama told media after scoring the hattrick.

He capped that performance with the lone goal on Monday as Gambia ended Nigeria’s hopes of Nigeria adding their eighth title this year.

Adama will face his main competitor for the boot Pape Diop on Saturday when Senegal and Gambia clash in the final.
