Galatasaray legend and former assistant coach Hasan Sas has sparked fresh debate over Victor Osimhen’s future, suggesting the Nigerian striker could leave the Turkish giants as early as this summer.

Sas believes Italian giants Juventus may adopt a swift strategy, similar to how Atletico Madrid recently secured Ademola Lookman from Atalanta.

Osimhen has been nothing short of sensational since his move to Rams Park, racking up a staggering 52 goals and 11 assists in 63 appearances. However, his prolific form has reignited rumours of a reunion with former manager Luciano Spalletti in Turin.

Osimhen tipped to leave Galatasaray

Speaking on the sporON YouTube channel, Sas expressed doubt over Galatasaray’s ability to ward off Europe’s elite.

"I don't think Osimhen will stay at Galatasaray," Sas said, as quoted by Karadeniz Gazete.

"Even if he performs well in the Juventus match and helps Galatasaray advance to the next round. They'll take him from there."

Sas compared the situation to Ademola Lookman’s recent move to Atletico Madrid. Despite heavy interest from Turkish clubs like Fenerbache, the Spanish side bypassed the noise by meeting Atalanta's financial demands instantly.

"I've been saying Lookman here since September, then Fenerbahce came out and said 'We'll get him'. Then, Atletico Madrid, a team that wasn't even on the market, paid the money and took him," Sas added.

"They'll do the same with Osimhen. They'll take him and leave. As long as a European team needs something, they won't look at the price."

With uncertainty looming, Sas revealed the club already has a contingency plan: "The moment Osimhen reaches a point where he could leave Galatasaray, Icardi's contract will be extended immediately."
