Sodiq Yusuff vs Edson Barboza: Time and Where to watch Nigerian UFC Star fight Brazilian

Sodiq Yusuff of Nigeria and Edson Barboza of Brazil will square off in the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) Featherweight division at UFC Vegas 81 at UFC Apex in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Having gone on a significant winning streak against well-known opponents and having repeatedly demonstrated his abilities and physical endowments, Yusuff briefly became the buzz of the featherweight community.

Yusuf felt as though his chances of winning the featherweight division just faded after being outwitted by Arnold Allen, a Top Five Featherweight.

But this opportunity to perform as the main event will allow him to reclaim the spotlight.

It is well known that Barboza is a nasty kickboxer with flaws who is more than capable of defeating non-elite competition.

Yusuff, who is two spots higher in the rankings than Barboza at No. 11 despite being seven years Barboza's junior at age 30, made his debut on Dana White's "Contender Series" in the summer of 2018.

Since then, he has amassed a remarkable 6-1 record with three first-round finishes.

At the UFC Kansas City event in April, Barboza crushed Billy Quarantillo with a first-round flying knee to get back into the win column.

The former lightweight Brazilian, now 37, has been fighting in the UFC for almost 13 years.

Yusuff is a huge Featherweight, one of the stronger men in the UFC division.

He’s also a really tactical kickboxer with some crafty looks, as well as a solid wrestler and grappler able to game-plan well for his opponents.

One way or another, Yusuff wants to work Barboza toward the fence, and Cutting off the cage is a major part of that goal.

Barboza is one of the best kickers in UFC history and the only man to stop opponents via low kick, body kick, and high kick.

Barboza is a dangerous striker capable of incredible highlights when at his best He’s also performed surprisingly well at 145 lbs showing no signs of diminishment from the cut.

Yusuf will take on Barboza on Sunday, October 15, 2023.

The fight is scheduled as the main event with ring walks expected by 12.00 AM Nigerian time.
