Richardson had a rollercoaster 2025 season on and off track, but showed resilience through it all by ending it on an impressive note with a fifth-place finish in the women's 100m final and anchoring Team USA to 4x100m gold at the World Championships in Tokyo.
Despite losing her world title to training partner Melissa Jefferson-Wooden, who had a historic year, Richardson was still grateful for the season and promised there's more to come.
“2025 owes me nothing, but I am thankful for what this year has revealed and allowing the tone to be set for the rest of my life,” the 2023 world champion in the 100m wrote in a post on Instagram. “I am Sha’Carri Richardson and there is so much more to come, just wait and see.”
With fresh energy and a renewed mindset for the 2026 season, Richardson will be gunning to make her statement comeback and prove her place as still a major force in the women's sprint division.
