President Tinubu sends message to Super Eagles after Algeria win

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has commended the Super Eagles for their impressive performance in the ongoing 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualification campaign.

Tinubu praised the team for inspiring Nigerians with their display on the pitch.

The president shared his message of support on Saturday evening via his official X (formerly Twitter) account, @officialABAT, following the national team’s latest outing in the qualifiers.

“Brilliant performance… Inspiring. Go, Super Eagles! You have the support of all Nigerians,” Tinubu wrote.

Nigeria, a three-time AFCON champion defeated Algeria 2-0, goals from Victor Osimhen and Akor Adams sealed the Super Eagles' semifinal spot.

The Super Eagles will face Morocco in the semi-final on Wednesday.
