The Nigerian forward made the touching admission following his impressive performance as Galatasaray continued their flawless start in the Super Lig.

Galatasaray secured their fourth consecutive win of the season, overcoming Rizespor 3-1 at Rams Park Stadium. The Lions have enjoyed a flying start to the campaign, winning their first four matches and remaining unbeaten so far.

Osimhen, who completed a permanent move from Napoli to Galatasaray this summer, played a key role in the victory. Making his second start of the season, he had already opened his account in a 4-0 triumph over Kayserispor.

In the match against Rizespor, Osimhen doubled his team’s lead in the second half with a perfectly timed header into an empty net, although the visitors managed to pull one back through Dal Varesanovic.

What Osimhen said

After the game, according to the club’s website, Osimhen expressed his emotions about joining Galatasaray again, saying, "It's great to be back. Everyone wanted me, and I'm finally in the place I call home.”

“I also wanted it very much. I will be here for years to come. It's a great privilege for me to continue scoring goals at RAMS Park, on one of the most important stages in world football, and to build on that momentum."

Victor Osimhen signed a four-year contract with Galatasaray.

He added, "I knew in my heart where I wanted to be. A lot of people believed in me at this club. They cared for me when I worked up a sweat. I saw how much the fans cared about it. There is a very different mentality within the club."
