The 26-year-old had an impressive game all-round, completing four of five dribbles attempted, winning 100 per cent of his aerial duels, and over 50% of his ground duels.
However, his most important contribution to the game was the pinpoint cross he delivered into the box around the 49th-minute mark that was brilliantly finished by Ivorian forward Yann Karamoh. The goal was reviewed by the VAR for a possible foul in the build-up, but nothing damning was found and the goal stood.
The win sprang Torino above Udinese in the Serie A standings, earning them 9th place, while the defeated team were pushed down to 10th
Three Super Eagles-eligible players on the losing team
Udinese had three Super Eagles-eligible players in their starting lineup, one of which has been capped by the Nigerian national team in Isaac Success. The 27-year-old striker was lively, but he did not manage to register on the scoresheet for his team.
27-year-old Dutch-Nigerian Kingsley Ehizibue and the Italian-Nigerian Tottenham loanee Destiny Udogie (20) were the other two. They both started as wing-backs on opposite flanks for Udinese in the 1-0 loss.
