NBA All-Star Weekend: Castle wins MVP as Team C wins Rising Stars competition

In Friday night's Rising Stars competition championship game, Team C defeated Team G League, which comprises players from the NBA's developmental league, 25-14.

Golden State's renowned Run TMC days were commemorated with the names of three of the Rising Stars tournament teams.

Tim Hardaway Sr. was honoured with the moniker of Team T, Chris Mullin with Team C, and Mitch Richmond with Team M.

Stephon Castle of San Antonio scored 12 points and was named MVP while Keyonte George made a 3-pointer to win the game.

Castle, George, Ryan Dunn of Phoenix, Zach Edey and Jaylen Wells of Memphis, Trayce Jackson-Davis of Golden State, and Dalton Knecht of the Los Angeles Lakers are the seven first- and second-year players on Team C.

In the All-Star semifinal, club C, which will play as Candace's Rising Stars on Sunday in honour of Candace Parker, will take on the Shaquille O'Neal-drafted club.
