Guardiola’s men finished with 89 points after a superb 11-game winning run towards the end of the season that ultimately saw them finish top of the league for the third time in a row.

Guardiola beats Arsenal's Arteta and Brighton's De Zerbi to award
Guardiola won the seasonal award, despite not winning the Manager of the Month award throughout the season, even during Manchester City’s impressive winning run. In fact, the Cityzens' boss has not won the monthly award since December 2021.
The 2022/23 Manager of the Season award is Guardiola’s fourth award, and his first since the 2020/21 season when he reclaimed the league title from Liverpool.
Guardiola beat Arsenal’s Mikel Arteta, Brighton’s Roberto De Zerbi, Aston Villa Unai Emery, Newcastle United’s Eddie Howe and Fulham’s Marco Silva who were also shortlisted for the honour.
