‘It's a mistake’ - Liverpool legend reacts to Iwobi’s brace following West Ham’s loss
Graham Potter's first Premier League match as West Ham United's coach ended in a 3-2 win over Fulham at the London Stadium.

However, despite scoring two goals in the game for Fulham, his performance did not reflect on the result.
Owen speaks on Iwobi’s goal
After the match, Liverpool legend Michael Owen said on Premier League Productions that the two shots were meant to be crosses but ended up in the goal.
He said, "It's a mistake and then it's a cross. Could the goalkeeper do better? I am not sure. It's quite a tricky one, Shaun."
Owen also added that Iwobi’s second goal was similar to the first, "Iwobi scored two goals and both of them were crosses. Incredible."
The 2024–2025 season has seen Iwobi, who is renowned for his inventiveness and technical proficiency, reach new heights.
The Super Eagles midfielder has scored seven goals and provided three assists for Fulham this season.
The Nigerian midfielder has now solidified his place in history by surpassing Super Eagles great Nwankwo Kanu's record of Premier League appearances.
