It is very difficult — Atalanta boss Juric opens up on Ademola Lookman future
Ademola Lookman has been one of the topics of the summer, as he desperately tries to leave Atalanta before the window closes on September 1.
On the pitch, the Bergamo side have struggled without him. Following a disappointing 1-1 draw against Pisa, Juric addressed the press ahead of this weekend's match against Parma
“The second half against Pisa was excellent, but the only problem was that we failed to capitalise on our chances."
Atalanta clearly missed their key player, Lookman, who has been pushing for a move away from the club. Juric hinted at more transfer activity, saying, “I think that could still get some more moves done before the transfer deadline.
"I don’t know anything about Lookman; it’s difficult to hazard a guess on what will happen or if he will remain.”
Lookman had hoped for a transfer to Inter, but their offer was rejected, and no other club has been willing to meet Atalanta's valuation.
While he has been training separately from the main squad, he is still under contract and could potentially be reintegrated into the team.
Tottenham are reportedly keen on the reigning CAF Player of the Year, but no formal approach has been made yet.
