Fulham manager Marco Silva has spoken warmly about Samuel Chukwueze’s impact since his arrival from AC Milan, suggesting the club could consider a permanent move.

The Nigerian winger now heads into a tough Manchester United test with confidence growing around his form and future.

Chukwueze impresses as Fulham keep options open

Since joining Fulham on loan in the summer, Chukwueze has looked refreshed and dangerous, quickly becoming one of the side’s most exciting attacking outlets.

Three goals and four assists in ten Premier League appearances underline how productive he has been, but his influence stretches beyond numbers. His direct running, willingness to take risks, and ability to stretch defences have given Fulham a different attacking dimension.

Silva, speaking ahead of the trip to Old Trafford, made it clear the club are delighted with what Chukwueze has brought so far. “There’s time, we are very pleased with him. He’s been able to show quality. He’s a great lad, a nice boy,” Silva said, according to the BBC.

The Fulham boss also pointed to the winger’s growing understanding of the team’s demands, adding that he is adapting well to what is required. While no final call has been made on his future, Silva stressed there is no rush, with discussions set for the right moment rather than mid-season.

Fresh start in England after Milan struggles

Chukwueze’s strong form in England marks a sharp contrast to his time in Italy. After earning his move to AC Milan from Villarreal, expectations were high, but two difficult seasons followed as he struggled to settle and deliver consistently.

The Premier League move has offered a reset, and at Fulham he appears freer, sharper, and more confident on the ball.

His goal against Brighton & Hove Albion last weekend added further momentum ahead of the Manchester United clash, a fixture that often brings extra spotlight.

However, the build-up has been overshadowed by personal tragedy, with Chukwueze a doubt for Sunday’s match following the death of his mother earlier this week. Fulham are expected to give him space as a decision is made closer to kick-off.

If he does feature, Silva will hope the winger can continue his upward run and trouble United’s defence as he had done many Premier League defences.
