The 23-year-old Dele-Bashiru, who signed from Turkish club Hatayspor last summer, has had difficulty adjusting to the demands of Italian football.

He was brought on in the 87th minute to replace Mattia Zaccagni, but he had little time to influence the match.

He said, "Yesterday it was difficult to find great motivation. Unconsciously, when you have already passed, mentally, you concede something.

"Maybe the disappointment on Monday was Dele-Bashiru. I see him back a little confused, not very organized, instead, he had made great strides.

"I don't know if it's because he missed some games he thought he would play, I have no idea."

He has only managed two goals in 14 league games so far this season, which highlights his difficulties and inconsistent play in Serie A.
