Fredrick, currently on a season-long loan from Brentford to Belgian side FCV Dender EH, emerged as arguably the standout performer in Nigeria's 4-1 World Cup play-off victory over Gabon.

The win was sealed by extra-time goals from Akor Adams, Chidera Ejuke, and a Victor Osimhen brace.
