Fredrick Alushula makes bold statement after joining AFC Leopards
AFC Leopards have confirmed the signing of righback Fredrick Alushula on a two-year contract from Kariobangi Sharks.
His deal comes less than 24hours after the 12-time Football Kenya Federation Premier League (FKFPL) champions announced the signing of Ugandan custodian James Ssetuba from Kakamega Homeboyz.

Alushula, the former national under-23 football team player, whose role models are Chelsea captain Reece James and Three Lions veteran Kyle Walker, has set lofty ambitions at The Den. “I'm happy to join AFC Leopards, and I am looking forward to winning trophies with the club. I like the team's style of play. There's a lot of quality in the team," Alushula said as posted on the club's social media page.
AFC leopards are eight points adrift of leaders Police FC but the all-action and marauding fullback believes anything is possible as far as the title race is concerned.

"The team has the potential of lifting the FKF-PL this season, looking at the league table. There's also a lot of competition among my new teammates , which will make me improve as a player."
In a bid to nail down a regular spot in the stacked position, Alushula said playing according to the coach's script will be crucial as he endears to become a fan favorite at Ingwe.
“If you do the right thing as a player, they'll definitely be very little pressure. I strive to work hard and play well according to the technical bench's instructions.”
AFC Leopards' mid-season signings are expected to bed in quickly to help the team achieve its targets come the end of the season. Alushula has already interacted with his new teammates and could be in contention for his debut on Wednesday in their League encounter against Sofapaka at Dandora Stadium.
