Forget Maresca, we must focus on ourselves — Guardiola speaks on Chelsea clash
Manchester City welcome the Blues to the Etihad just days after their goalless draw with Sunderland during a packed festive schedule.
In contrast, Chelsea head into the game following a 2-2 draw with Bournemouth in their most recent outing.
Adding a layer of unpredictability to the encounter, Chelsea have since parted ways with their former manager, Enzo Maresca, ahead of their trip to Manchester.
Guardiola focused solely on beating Chelsea
However, Guardiola insists that the identity of the opposing manager will not change his team's approach, as he anticipates a challenging match while aiming to get back to winning ways.
"Don't talk much if you don't know what's going to happen with the opponent," Guardiola said.
"I don't know which manager will be sitting there... No concern. Just think about yourself, what you have to do with our people who are going to help us."
The City boss acknowledged the difficulty of the upcoming fixtures, adding, "Two tough games. Like this, Chelsea and Brighton.
"It has always been a dangerous game against Chelsea. Really good. The Premier League is dangerous every game."
Manchester City will be desperate to win, afetr Arsenal opened up a 7-point lead with their 3-2 win over Bournemouth on Saturday night.
