Erik ten Hag reveals main reason for Manchester United's struggles this season
Erik ten Hag believes injuries are the main reason behind Manchester United's poor 2023/24 season so far.
On Saturday night, the Red Devils suffered their ninth defeat in 20 Premier League games this season, in a disappointing 2-1 loss to Nottingham Forest.
Nicolas Dominguez initiated the scoring for the hosts just after the hour mark. Despite Matt Turner gifting Marcus Rashford an equalizer, Morgan Gibbs-White responded by securing the winner for the hosts.
Ten Hag blames injuries for Manchester United's struggles
When asked by Sky Sports what the main issue has been with United's campaign so far, Ten Hag replied: "The injuries. Also some issues but mainly the injuries hold us back in the process.
"In January we have a lot of players returning so then we believe our levels can be higher."
