End of the road: Chippa Utd terminate Nwabali's contract after official request to leave
The goalkeeper joined the South African club in 2022, having left the Nigerian Professional Football League (NPFL) side Katsina United.
Following several impressive performances, he became the club's primary starting player at the start of the 2023/24 season.
His impressive performances earned him his debut call-up to the Nigeria national team for the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON), a tournament where he ultimately rose to national hero status.

After three-plus years at Chippa, Nwabali has decided to end his contract with his club and he is currently a free agent.

According to reports from Mikethepundit on X, “BREAKING: Stanley Nwabali leaves Chippa Utd.
“Chippa Utd have confirmed that Super Eagles goalkeeper, Nwabali, has formally submitted a request to depart the club. After careful consideration, the club has agreed to grant his release.”
The Nigerian goalkeeper made a formal request to the club to terminate his contract, which was granted to him.
The reason for the goalkeeper's decision remains undisclosed, and his next move is yet to be determined.
