Chelsea fans furious with Mount after describing Man United dressing room as 'home' with his dad
Chelsea fans are angry with former Blue Mason Mount after he described Manchester United’s dressing room as “home and special” after swapping London for Manchester.
Mount completed a surprise £55 million with £5 million on add-ons move to United from Chelsea to bring an end to his 18-year romance with the Blues.
The midfielder came off the ranks at Chelsea’s Academy in Cobhams and had a strong tie to the club and the fans before his move to United.
Chelsea fans react to Mount’s latest video
However, just days after moving to Old Trafford from Stamford Bridge, it seems the 24-year-old has left Chelsea fans angry following a video shared on social media.
In the video first posted by Manchester United, the new Red Devil sat in the United dressing room with his dad, Tony, who revealed how he brought a young Mason to the club.
Mount replied with “it's special” before his father added; “Mason, this dressing room man, home mate, home. Who would have thought when I brought you up here as a little boy,” he added.
The video trended on social media with Chelsea fans clearly furious and unhappy with Mount for calling United’s dressing room home, per Daily Mail.
Mount, an England International, won the Champions League UEFA Super Cup and Club World Cup during his time with Chelsea.
The midfielder has since resumed training with his new teammates and handed the iconic number seven at his new club.
