Botswana citizens mock Noah Lyles on a wheelchair during Letsile Tebogo's victorious homecoming ceremony
Botswana citizens while celebrating Letsile Tebogo's historic homecoming at their Olympic team coronation, have also resolved to mock Noah Lyles with his wheelchair COVID stunt after the 200m final at Paris 2024.
The American speedster lost to Tebogo in the Olympic 200m final, clocking an African Record of 19.46s to become Botswana's first Olympic champion in any event.
Shockingly, shortly after the race, Lyles was seen gasping for air and eventually collapsed on the track before the medics came to his aid and wheeled him off the track in a wheelchair.
It was then announced by the US track and field that their Olympic 100m champion tested positive for COVID two days before the final, but he insisted on running the race despite being sick.
It made Lyles an object of criticism as many believed he wasn't truly sick and his actions were just gimmicks to shy away from losing or give credit to Tebogo's victory.
Because of this Batswana are mocking Lyles during Tebogo's victory ceremony as they welcomed their Paris 2024 Olympic hero home.
