Wolverhampton Wanderers' dismal start to the Premier League season continued as they fell to a 3-1 defeat against Leeds United at Molineux, making them only the sixth side in history to lose their first five league games.

Despite getting off to a perfect start with a Ladislav Krejci goal just eight minutes in, the home side's defence collapsed.

Leeds, who had only scored once prior to this match, responded with three goals before half-time. New signings Dominic Calvert-Lewin, Anton Stach, and Noah Okafor were all on the scoresheet, leaving Wolves with a mountain to climb.

Nigerian striker Tolu Arokodare made his second start for Wolves but failed to make any sustained impact on the game before being substituted.

The home side tried to provoke a response in the second half, with substitute Marshall Munetsi forcing a brilliant save from Leeds goalkeeper Karl Darlow.

However, their efforts were in vain as Leeds held firm to secure their first league victory since the opening weekend. For Wolves, the pressure on the team and their manager continues to mount.
