He is a beast — Enzo Fernandez backs Chelsea teammate to stop Arsenal attackers
Enzo Fernandez has praised his Chelsea teammate Marc Cucurella as a "beast" following a standout performance in the club's 3-0 Champions League victory over a ten-man Barcelona.
Chelsea delivered a commanding performance against the Catalan giants, and Cucurella earned Man of the Match honours for successfully neutralising the threat of Barcelona's Lamine Yamal, a feat few defenders have managed against the young winger.
With Chelsea set to face Premier League leaders Arsenal on Sunday, Cucurella will be looking to maintain his formidable form. His midfield teammate, Fernandez, highlighted his importance to the squad.

"Obviously, Marc is a beast," Fernandez stated. "Having a teammate like him around day-to-day is very special. He’s very funny and always in a good mood."

"Aside from that, he trains very well, always wants to improve, and for us, it’s very important to have a defender of his quality," he added.
Despite the impressive European result, Fernandez remains grounded about Chelsea's Champions League ambitions, emphasising a one-game-at-a-time approach.
"We’re just taking it step by step," he concluded. "We don’t put ourselves in the position of a contender, even if we represent Chelsea, a really big club. We have a great team, and we’re taking it one step at a time."
