The first National Women’s Rugby Sevens Tournament was held at the weekend in Asaba.
Zambia, a sleeping giant in African rugby, will hope to awaken from their slumber in an effort to upturn the apple, while Namibia, who finished fifth at the last qualifiers, will hope to do better this time around.
The Kenya rugby Sevens team, affectionately known as Shujaa, a Swahili word meaning courage, confidence, bravery, or heroism will be aiming for their third consecutive appearance at the Olympics.
