Team Kano girls Rugby team became the first to pick the ticket to feature at the 2023 of the National Youths Games (NYG).
Pulse Sports reported that the NYG is slated for Asaba, Delta state capital in September.
Following confirmation that they were the only team from the north west zone to enter for the zonal qualifiers in their event, the Kano Rugby Girls team seized the ticket at the Ahmadu Bello stadium's main bowl.
The announcement of their qualification triggered off celebrations in the camp of the Kano contingent to the zonal elimination taking place in Kaduna.
National Youth Games gets date as FG adopts operation NIN for Athletes
Ahead of the seventh edition of the National Youth Games (NYG), the Federal Government of Nigeria has initiated a National Identification Number (NIN) verification policy for Participating Athletes.
The Youth Games is scheduled to be held in Asaba, the Delta State Capital from September 7th - 17th.
The NIN policy was announced at the end of the technical meetings between the Federal Ministry of Youth and Sports Development officials, the Delta State Sports Commission, the local organizing committee, and technical directors from the 36 states and the FCT, Abuja.
The meeting also revealed the modalities to adopt for the Seventh National Youth Games to be hosted by the ‘Big Heart of the Nation’
