New Zealand professional mixed martial artist of Nigerian descent Israel Mobolaji Adesanya is talking tough ahead of his return to the octagon.

The 33-year-old is set to return against Brazilian professional mixed martial artist Alexsandro Pereira in a rematch.

Preparing for another shot at the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC), Adesanya is tethering within light and darkness.

Israel Adesanya departs New Zealand for Miami 

Adesanya recently departed New Zealand for Miami in the United States to headline the main event of UFC 287 against Pereira.

The style bender released details of his travel from New Zealand to Miami in the United States on his official Youtube account.

Asked about his travel arrangements, Adesanya explained that there will be no holding back.

He said, "I feel better earlier on than I usually do yeah I feel better like I'm ready to go.

"I'm ready to board the plane I'm not holding back on anything I'm not I just wanna make moves."

Adesanya also explained that despite losing the belt he does not have a different mindset as the challenger.

He said, "They still call me champ but yeah they know. I'm still me.

"As well at this one yeah so that's always going to be me and it's never gonna that's never gonna fade away from me."

Israel Adesanya in Miami

The first stop for Adesanya in the United States was attending MLB regular-season game between the Miami Marlins and Minnesota Twins that took place on Tuesday, April 4, 2022, at LoanDepot Park in Miami.

Adesanya threw his first MLB pitch while wearing an unbuttoned home jersey of the Miami Marlins.

After the game, Adesanya took to his official social media platforms to show his pitch.

He then went back to training and gifted his following base with new workout pictures ahead of the rematch against Pereira.

Along with the photos was a message that said, "Embrace the darkness. Show him the light. Shine bright."

Background

Adesanya is taking no prisoners as he prepares for his rematch against Pereira.

After the loss to Pereira at Madison Square Garden in New York Adesanya was complimentary of Pereira.

Pereira however since the rematch against Adesanya has been making some derogatory remarks about the first meeting.

Adesanya takes on Pererira in the main event of UFC 287 scheduled to take place at the Miami-Dade Arena in Miami, Florida on Sunday, April 9, 2023.
