Henry favourite for France Under 21 position

According to L'Equipe, Henry is currently the front-runner for the open position among the youthful talent in his nation.

According to reports, the former French forward, who has found great success as a pundit on CBS, had a job interview on Monday.

Together with Julien Stephan, Sabri Lamouchi, and Jocelyn Gourvennec, he was one of four applicants for the role.

However, after speaking with the French Ministry of Sports, he is thought to be the frontrunner according to reports from the Sun.

Sylvain Ripoll was fired by the French FA in July after six years in charge of their U21 team since they only advanced to the quarterfinals of the Euros.

As it stands, France are currently looking for another head coach for the Under-21 team and have done interviews for some candidates.
