Ruben Dias' ex-girlfriend seemingly shades his new romance with Maya Jama with new song

Ruben Dias’ new relationship with TV presenter Maya Jama, appears to have sparked a release from his ex-girlfriend, Portuguese singer April Ivy.

April Ivy, born Mariana Gonçalves, recently previewed a new track on her Instagram that has set tongues wagging. 

As reported by Daily Mail, the lyrics speak of a past lover who has moved on, with lines such as:

 'I saw a picture. You guys look so good together. The both of you, you both look so happy. Just as everyone says, I created a monster.

'He learned everything with me, then became a danger and left. 

'To give some context, what you see doesn't come from thin air. I know you're going to love what was tiring me.

'What he wears, I bought. His perfume, I gave. His favourite song, I showed. He is me. Keep him now, he's yours.'

 While Ivy doesn't name Dias explicitly, the timing of the release, coinciding with Dias and Jama's public outings, has led many to draw connections.’

Ivy and Dias were in a relationship from 2018 to 2021.

According to Portuguese magazine Flash!, the pair eventually split up due to differing lifestyle preferences, with Dias favouring a more private existence compared to Ivy's public persona.

Ruben Dias and Maya Jama's relationship has transitioned from speculation to confirmation in recent weeks. 

The pair, who reportedly met at the MTV Europe Music Awards in November, finally confirmed their romance after being spotted together on a romantic lunch in London's Little Venice.

Jama, known for her role as the host of "Love Island UK," has been spotted supporting Dias at his football matches, including Manchester City's FA Cup semi-final victory at Wembley. 

Further fuelling the narrative, both Dias and Jama have been seen wearing matching Cartier 'LOVE' bracelets, and Jama has reportedly started learning Portuguese, suggesting a deepening bond between the two.
