Nigeria and Bayer Leverkusen striker Victor Boniface is happy with his nomination for the Bundesliga Team of the Season.

Nigeria international Victor Boniface is a happy man after he was nominated for the Bundesliga Team of the Season following stellar performances that helped Bayer Leverkusen dethrone Bayern Munich to lift the league title for the first time in their history.

Boniface, the 23-year-old forward, has been a revelation in the Bundesliga this season, scoring 11 goals and providing eight assists, despite missing three months due to an unfortunate injury.

His contributions were instrumental in Leverkusen's title-winning campaign, which they sealed with five matches to spare.
