Nigeria's Victor Boniface and his Bayer Leverkusen side remain in contention for a treble this season after a 1-1 draw against West Ham United in the Europa League quarterfinals, extending their unbeaten run to 44 matches across all competitions.

Nigeria international Victor Boniface and his Bayer Leverkusen side remain in contention for a treble this season after a hard-fought 1-1 draw against West Ham United in the second leg of their Europa League quarterfinal.

The German club extended their impressive unbeaten run to 44 matches across all competitions, coming from behind to hold the Hammers and secure a 3-1 aggregate victory.

Boniface's Leverkusen send West Ham out

Leverkusen's resilience was on full display as they fought back from a goal down to earn a spot in the Europa League semifinals. 

The result means the Bundesliga outfit is still in the hunt for a historic treble, having already won the Bundesliga for the first time and are in the final of the DFB-Pokal (German Cup). 

Boniface, the young Nigerian striker, played a key role in Leverkusen's success, contributing to their attacking play throughout the two-legged tie with one goal in the first leg.

The 23-year-old's performances have been a highlight of Leverkusen's impressive campaign, and he will undoubtedly be a crucial player as they continue their pursuit of silverware.
