Thiago Silva has spoken about the possibility of Mason Mount leaving Chelsea for Manchester United in the summer transfer window.

Mason Mount has only 12 months remaining in his Chelsea contract and Manchester United are ready to make moves to bring the midfielder to Old Trafford after making progress on a deal.

It was reported that United have agreed personal terms with Manchester United after rejecting a new contract extension with the Blues.

Tiago Silva has expressed his feelings concerning Mount's move to United after the club failed to meet his demands.

Chelsea failed to meet Mount demands

Chelsea were said to have offered a new contract extension to Mason Mount but the player's demands were not met in the proposed offer given.

Football.london reports that the Blues and Mount have had multiple meetings to discuss a new contract and that an agreement had previously been anticipated to be reached before the World Cup in December. But when he came back, the deal had been taken off the table.

After that, negotiations resumed around the end of January, but the England international remained uninterested in signing a one-year agreement despite a suggested pay raise.

Mason Mount has since then not received any offer from Chelsea with his contract set to expire in 2024.

The Cobham graduate is expected to move, and it's said that Manchester United, Liverpool, and Arsenal are all keen to sign him. Erik Ten Hag's team is reportedly leasing the race for Mount's signature.

Silva express his concern

The Chelsea star and United have now agreed on personal terms, and a deal is anticipated to be completed, according to The Telegraph.

Silva left a remark on two crying emojis after the news story was shared on Instagram by a social media news aggregator.

Although opinions on Mount's potential exit have been divided, one Blues supporter responded to the Brazilian's remark, "Please Silva, please advise Mount to stay, don't leave. All the Chelsea fans who love him, please don't leave."

The Brazilian defender seems not to be pleased with the news of Mason Mount joining Manchester United and would want the Englishman to remain at the club.
