The Kenyan stars returned to their clubs and played vital roles in Saturday’s games.

Harambee Stars captain Michael Olunga returned to club duties and made a remarkable contribution as Al Duhail SC defeated Al Sailiya 3-1 in a Qatar Stars League match on Saturday.

This was Olunga’s first appearance for the club after the international break when he led Kenya against Iran. Although the striker scored, Harambee Stars were defeated 2-1 in Tehran on March 28.

Meanwhile, at the Hamad bin Khalifa Stadium, Sergio Strandberg's penalty opened the scoring for struggling Al Sailiya in the 28th minute.

Al Duhail struggled and did not get a way through the home side’s defense in the first half. In the 58th minute, they grabbed the equalizer when Ferjani Sassi scored.

Olunga struck in the 72nd minute – with an assist from Almoez Ali - to give Al Duhail the lead.

The former Gor Mahia striker provided an assist to Ali, who scored in the eighth minute of added time to ensure he went home not only with a big win but also with points.

The win was critical for Al Duhail, as they remain at the summit of the Stars League table with 42 points from 17 games.

Meanwhile, Joseph Okumu grabbed an assist for Gent in their 5-0 demolition of RFC Seraing in their Belgium First Division match.

Okumu was with Olunga for international duty, and his return to the club’s assignments was marked with an assist for the third goal.

Gift Emmanuel Orban, Hugo Cuypers, and Jordan Torunarigha - for whom Okumu provided the assist for – scored as Gent showed a superb display against a struggling Seraing.

While Gent are fourth with 54 points from 31 games, Seraing are at the bottom of the eighteen-team table with 19 points.
