Nigeria's Victor Boniface bounces back after he was ruled out of the Super Eagles AFCON2023 campaign due to an injury.

Nigerian striker Victor Boniface has taken his AFCON2023 heartbreak in good faith after revealing a new ‘side hustle’.

Boniface has returned to Bayer Leverkusen following an unfortunate injury that ended his Africa Cup of Nations dream with Nigeria.

Nigeria’s preparations for the upcoming Africa Cup of Nations suffered a major blow after the 23-year-old was ruled out of the Super Eagles AFCON2023 journey due to a groin injury.

The Bayer Leverkusen star was the obvious omission as the Super Eagles played two pre-AFCON2023 friendly matches in the space of 24 hours in Abu Dhabi.

Moments after Nigeria’s defeat to Guinea, Pulse Sports reported that Nigeria’s quest to lift the AFCON for the fourth time had taken another hit, with Boniface joining a growing list of injured players.

Boniface’s club, Leverkusen, eventually confirmed that their main man would be out for three months as he needed surgery to fix a knee problem.

Boniface moves on

Following the disappointment, Boniface has now come out to reveal what he would do during his time out on the sidelines.

The former Union Saint-Gilloise star took to his X account to share that he is open for adverts.

“Na to Dey run advert for the main time na,” Boniface posted on his social media account. “Send dm ooo,” he added.

Boniface, who has been nominated for another Bundesliga Rookie of the Month award, has been one of Nigeria’s most consistent performers in Europe this season.

He has turned into Leverkusen’s contributor-in-chief, with 10 goals and seven assists in 16 matches in the league.

The former youth international has since been replaced by OGC Nice forward, Terem Moffi, who will join the Super Eagles in Cote d’Ivoire.
