Ifeanyi Ubah describes the Sports Club as an avenue to discover talents.

The Minister of Youth and Sports Development, Sunday Dare, led a team to commission Senator Ifeanyi Ubah Sports Club in Nnewi.

Dare commissioned the Sports Club on Friday.

Dare described the Sports Club as home to empowering Youths

Speaking at the event, Dare said the sports club would open a new page in Sports Development and Youth empowerment in Anambra state.

He also commended the efforts of Ubah on sports development in the country.

"I deemed it fit to be part of this noble event. Senator Ifeanyi Ubah has invested in youth in Sports, it is a clear fact that Senator Ifeanyi Ubah has been in the football fraternity, for more than a decade, having run a professional football club, as well as owning a stadium that once hosted a CAF Confederation Cup match. That is an indication of his passion and investment in sports." he said.

In his response, Ifeanyi Ubah claimed that the Sports club will help to discover talents and nurture them.

The chairman of former Federation Cup champions, FC Ifeanyi Ubah said he is using the sports club to give back to society.

"It's a way of giving back to society, where I hail from, to discover more talents and to nurture them to stardom. This club has basketball, volleyball, and tennis courts as well as a 5-Aside football pitch among other facilities.

"I want to thank the Sports Minister, who deemed it fit to visit Nnewi, May God Almighty bless you and your team as you go back to Abuja safely," he concluded.

 Ifeanyi Ubah owns the Ifeanyi Ubah Football Club of Nnewi.
