Ronaldo approves managerial appointment as Jesus joins Al Nassr from rivals to chase the title
Al Nassr failed to win any silverware in Saudi Arabia after signing Cristiano Ronaldo.
Despite having various managers at the helm, including Rudi Garcia, Dinko Jelicic, Luis Castro, and Stefano Pioli, Al Nassr consistently finished behind rivals Al Ittihad and Al Hilal.
The Yellow-Blues will be vying for the title again next season, this time with Jorge Jesus, the manager who led Al Hilal to victory in 2024, in charge.
Jorge Jesus appointed new manager
Foot Mercato, via GSP, corroborated by renowned journalist Fabrizio Romano, has reported that Al Nassr and Jorge Jesus have reached an agreement.
This follows private conversations between Jesus and Cristiano Ronaldo, after which the Al Nassr forward gave his approval for the appointment of his compatriot.
Cristiano Ronaldo recently agreed to a contract extension with Al Nassr and holds significant influence in the Saudi ownership's decisions.
Jesus had been a free agent since May, after his departure from Al Hilal, but he is now set to be on the touchline for Al Nassr.
