Sancho remains sidelined since being banished from the first-team squad after reacting badly to being dropped against Arsenal in September.

Manchester United winger Jadon Sancho has reportedly accused manager Erik ten Hag of treating teammate Antony “like a golden child” which has infuriated him.

This is according to FootballTransfer, who have been informed that the Red Devils remain furious with Sancho, believing him to be unfit and nonchalant about his exclusion from the side.

From Sancho's point of view, the crux of the issue is that Antony gets picked no matter how badly he plays or how many mistakes he makes. No matter how many bad situations both on and off the pitch he is involved in, he is favored by Ten Hag.

It’s believed from some quarters that the Brazilian gets treated like the manager's golden child - and he knows and acts like it.

The manager has insisted that the Brazilian’s return to the squad is not a “distraction” and played him against Galatasaray and Brentford last week.

Sancho by contrast, remains sidelined since being banished from the first team squad after reacting badly to being dropped against Arsenal in September.

The Dutch boss reportedly wanted to give the winger one more chance this campaign, but the public spat between the pair means that Manchester United will prepare to actively look for a loan opportunity in January, something which may become problematic given the player's current wage.

Sancho’s conduct has also seen his England opportunities dry up under Gareth Southgate, who will continue to overlook the former Borussia Dortmund winger for forthcoming games.

United held talks over the summer over a possible move for Sancho to Saudi Arabia, but ultimately, it fell too close to the deadline to get anything wrapped up. It is, however, an avenue that United will continue to explore in 2024.
