Conference League champions Chelsea have reportedly named the only condition with which they can sign Jadon Sancho permanently.
Chelsea have reportedly decided to sign Jason Sancho on a permanent deal, however, they will only do it under one condition.
The 24-year-old joined the Blues on loan in the summer with an obligation to buy for £25 million. He started his stint at the club brilliantly, but petered off, leading to suggestions that Chelsea were considering paying the €5 million penalty clause, and returning the England international to Manchester United.
Chelsea ready to move ahead with Sancho
According to TBR, Chelsea understand that signing Sancho for £25 million is a big opportunity, and they have decided to trigger the clause.
However, Sancho is currently on £350,000 a week from his contract at Manchester United, a figure that is significantly out of range in Chelsea's wage bill.
Per the report, the Blues has stipulated that the former Dortmund man has to accept a significantly lesser wage for them to sign him permanently.
Chelsea use a system of incentives. Their best player, Cole Palmer earns £130,000 weekly. However, he could go well over £200,000 should he meet certain bonus-triggering targets.
Sancho has expressed his happiness at Chelsea, Infamously commenting “freedom” under a Marcus Rashford post, when the forward left Manchester United on loan for Aston Villa.
