Saudi Pro League's alluring offer seals the deal, medical and paperwork await.

Record French Ligue 1 champions Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) have reportedly agreed to part ways with their Brazilian forward, Neymar.

The unexpected destination for the prolific player is Saudi Pro League side Al-Hilal, in a deal that is rumored to be valued at around €90 million (Ksh 14.1b), with additional add-ons.

The 31-year-old's time in Paris has been marked by both incredible on-field performances and controversial moments, but it seems his journey with the French club is coming to an end.

According to BBC, the deal remains subject to the successful completion of a medical examination and the necessary administrative processes.

Neymar's initial move to PSG in 2017 was a record-breaking transfer, with the French side shelling out a staggering €222 million to secure his services.

The Brazilian's absence from PSG's recent Ligue 1 opener only fueled speculations about his future, and it seems that coach Luis Enrique has excluded him from the team's plans for the upcoming season.

Upon arriving at Al-Hilal, Neymar will find himself in the company of several notable new teammates who have also made their way to the Saudi Pro League side.

Kalidou Koulibaly, Rúben Neves, and Sergej Milinković-Savić are among the star-studded acquisitions that Al-Hilal has secured this summer, making it clear that the club aims to raise its profile on the international stage.

Al-Hilal's recent acquisitions are in line with a broader trend in Saudi football, as several top clubs including Al Nassr, Al Ahli, and Al Ittithad have come under the ownership of Saudi Arabia's Public Investment Fund (PIF).

This significant development took place as part of the country's ambitious "Sports Clubs Investment and Privatization Project," signaling the nation's dedication to elevating its sports industry.

The Saudi Pro League clubs have adopted an assertive approach during this transfer window, actively pursuing renowned players by offering lucrative contracts.

This strategy has led to the arrival of some of football's most recognizable names on Saudi soil, attracting global attention to the league.
