Onyango was on the bench for Everton and could not play a part in helping the Toffees avoid defeat to Arsenal, while Okumu was benched for Reims’ defeat to Brest

Joseph Okumu played no part in Stade Reims 2-1 loss to Brest in their fifth Ligue 1 match of the season played at the Stade Auguste Delaune stadium on Sunday afternoon.

Although Reims created a lot of chances, they were not enough to give them the win against the visiting side.

Amir Richardson opened the scoring for Rennes in the 19th minute which gave them the 1-0 advantage heading into the break.

In the second half, Goals from Mahdi Camara and Pierre Lees-Melou in the 50th and 56th turned things around in favor of the visitors, which left Reims losing their second game of the week.

In England, Tyler Onyango was an unused substitute as  Everton lost 1-0 to Arsenal courtesy of a goal from Leandro Trossard at Goodison Park.

Everton held their own in the first half despite Arsenal’s possession, and generally held their own in the second half. 

However, a smartly constructed corner kick move resulted in the Belgian international slotting the ball home past a helpless Jordan Pickford with a ferocious shot into the back of the net.

In Sweden, Timothy Noor Ouma played no part for the upteempth time as Swedish top flight title challengers Elfsborg lost 3-0 to Kalmar FF on Sunday.

Goals by Nahom Girmai,  Lars Saetra and and own goal by Ibrahim Buahi left them suffering their fifth loss of the season, losing their lead at the top of the table.
