Nasarawa United joins El Kanemi Warriors and Dakkada as teams to be relegated from the NPFL to the NNL so far, this season.
Relegation to Nigeria's second division, the Nigeria National League (NNL) was confirmed for Nasarawa United on Sunday, as they fell to a disappointing 1-0 loss to Kwara United in Akure.
Founded in 2003, the Lafia club had only experienced relegation from the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) once, in 2009/10, but gained promotion back in 2012 after winning their division.
Relegation sees their 11-year stint in the top flight, come to an end.
