The former Posta Rangers player reflects on his performance and also predicts how they can perform next season.

Nairobi City Stars forward Samuel Kapen is confident that they will have a far better season in 2023–24 compared to the current one.

Although they are not in the danger zone yet, the Simba wa Nairobi have not had a dream campaign in the ongoing term, as they are 15th with 33 points from 32 games.

"It’s been a good season. We started off poorly but steadily worked our way up and peaked in the second leg," Kapen told the club’s website.

"Individually, it has been a good season for me, even though I never attained my personal targets. I hope next season will be better than this season."

This is the full Premier League season for the former Diguna, Liberty Sport, and Posta Rangers forward with City Stars.

He joined the Kawangware-based side from National Super League outfit Kibera Black Stars before the current season began and has gone on to score seven goals, register two assists, and have a further eight-second assists.

He has played in 27 of 32 games, which total 2,199 minutes. To conclude the season, the City Stars will play Talanta and then Gor Mahia.

As Kapen looks forward to an improved campaign, the next season has been scheduled to begin on August 26, 2023.
