Former Gor Mahia defender Dennis Ng’ang’a could not help Zanaco to another win as Jesse Were failed to change the outcome of Kansashi Dynamo’s eventual loss to Mutondo.
Former Gor Mahia defender Dennis Ng’ang’a returned to the starting line up but could not help Zanaco get all the three points against Green Eagles in an MTN Premier League match played on Sunday afternoon.
Ng’ang’a started on the bench in their previous match, a 1-0 win over Kabwe Warriors having featured for Harambee Stars against Gabon and Seychelles during the international break last month.
Freddy M Kouablan put Eagles in the lead in the 18th minute before Isaac Shamuompa Shamujompa restored parity for Zanaco just before the break.

Mandela, who is seemingly starting to become a regular starter for Sundowns, did fairly okay although they were downed 1-0 by TP Mazembe on Saturday.
In the end, both sides had to settle for a point, and it now means that Zanaco are sixth on 22 points, six behind Ian Otieno’s Zesco, who are top of the league.
In another MTN Premier League fixture, former Tusker and Harambee Stars striker Jesse Were had a couple of chances to score but did not truly maximize on them as Kansanshi Dynamos lost 2-0 to Mutondo.
Titus Chansa emerged as the 'star' of the day, securing both goals, with the first coming in the first minute, and the second coming in the 57th minute.
Dynamos FC had their share of chances, notably in the 21st minute when Rodgers Lukonde's great pass to Jimmy Mukeya went unrewarded due to a control failure.
Another opportunity arose in the 43rd minute with Lukonde's fantastic free kick, but the keeper parried it out. Despite winning a corner, KDFC couldn't capitalize in this chance.
In the 80th minute, Jesse Were had a chance to score for Kansanshi, but his attempted header landed safely in the goalkeeper's hands.
